In this first episode of IDEAS, Dr. Tan talks about the research and graduate process drawing on her own experiences from pursuing a second doctorate in Education. Poh is an entrepreneur, a stem cell biologist, an educator, a volunteer and a mother. Currently, She is pursuing her second doctorate at the Faculty of Education at SFU where her thesis focuses on scientific literacy through an indigenous lens. She obtained her first PhD from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of British Columbia focusing on the biology of blood stem cells.
